Albuquerque Alcoholics Anonymous

Central Office Invites Applications for Coordinator

Due to illness, Central Office of Albuquerque, Inc., needs a new Coordinator. The flyer describing the job requirements, and how to apply, is available here. (Please be sure to press “Full Post” to see the link). The Coordinator is a paid “special worker” as envisioned by Tradition Eight. This is a very important position for assisting the Fellowship in Albuquerque and the surrounding area (Districts 3, 11, 12, 13, 17, and 18).

The Coordinator ensures that the office operates in accordance with the Twelve Traditions of A.A. For example, the Coordinator schedules volunteer members of the Fellowship to answer the phone 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Each volunteer fulfills the primary purpose of Alcoholics Anonymous. These volunteers carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous right at the front line, by talking to the still sick and suffering alcoholic who calls. Having a “real alcoholic” always available on the phone is one of the most important functions of Central Office.

The Coordinator also keeps the operation of the office free of entanglements with outside groups.

The Coordinator also maintains the inventory of A.A. literature for sale.

If you believe that you’re up to the challenge, please consider applying.
