    Central Office Coordinator
    Qualifications for Office: The Coordinator must have at least five (5) years of continuous sobriety, be a member of a listed AA Group, have previous experience with Intergroups or Central Offices, and an understanding of the mission of the office as it relates to the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. A strong background in general service informed by the spirit of the Twelve Traditions and interpersonal communication skills utilizing that spirit and background are also required. Facility with current information technology and knowledge of laws and agencies governing the operation of non-profit corporations will be needed.

  • Substitute Desk Workers Needed

    Central Office needs substitute desk workers who can fill in for others when they are unable to cover their regularly scheduled shifts.

    Requirements for this service opportunity are six months of sobriety, a sponsor, and a home group. If interested, please call Central Office for more information at 505-266-1900.

    Elections are coming up for vacancies on the ABQ Steering Committee Special Needs Coordinator ... Community Outreach .

    Positions serve 2-year terms. AAs having "previous or current experience with the Central Office and with at least two years of continuous sobriety shall be eligible." Position descriptions are on pp. 24 of the Central Office Bylaws: Click Here to read them.

    The Steering Committee monitors and supports Central Office operations and makes necessary proposals to Intergroup representatives. The Committee meets monthly in advance of the Intergroup Meeting. Support your Central Office (and your sobriety) by standing for one of these positions.   • Abq's Metropolitan Detention Center Ongoing Service Opportunity

    AA volunteers are needed to "Carry the Message" at Albuquerque's MDC. Men and women are needed to facilitate AA meetings at the Bernalillo County jail meetings are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at 6:00-7:00 pm.

    Orientations for clearance are the first Thursday of every month, 8:00-11:00 am at the MDC.
